An Encounter on the Metro - Epilogue 1
This or That?
As if turning pages , months passed by.
Putti Sings had soared beyond their wildest expectations — now just a few hundred subscribers away from the YouTube Silver Button.
Their marketing strategy of mutual growth — tagging local bands, collaborating with independent artists, and allowing remixes of their songs for reels and shorts — had struck a chord.
What began as a small passion project — a shared dream — now earned real bucks through the YouTube Partnership Program, affiliate marketing, and even a few brand promotions.
After much contemplation, Ari finally made a decision — she quit her morning data-entry job. Between her role as a chef at The Purple Chime Café — where Rams had recently given her a raise — and the growing income from her music, she was doing well.

A week later came the surprise of a lifetime: an invitation to collaborate on a song for a web series.
The offer felt unreal. Recognition for something she had loved since childhood made her heart swell. After years of feigned indifference toward her own emotions, Ari found herself overwhelmed — a confusing tangle of disbelief, joy, and gratitude that spilled out as tears. Intense, to put it lightly.
She had always been someone who liked to label her emotions neatly, drawing invisible lines around what she could or couldn’t feel. To most, she came across as a quiet introvert — reserved, self-contained, even indifferent at times. But that wasn’t the truth.
Now, when she tried to put this feeling into words...to write it into a song - her hands trembled. The melody was but a buzz in her head. The lyrics refused to come. Yet the wide grin on her face betrayed everything she couldn’t say.
To call it euphoria... felt inadequate.
For the first time in years, she found herself wondering — Is the security of a "proper" job really worth more than the happiness of chasing a passion? What even is a proper job?
She didn’t know whom to ask the question to.
